Me : "Nice, so that's all?"
Colleague : "Yeah.."
Colleague : "Eh! What's that behind you......?"
It was a fine working night, as always. Our anticipation only lies on a few usual stuff, nothing too strenuous..... at first.
The horror all began with a packet of soggy Sheng Mian from my colleague.
Acually i'm just pulling your leg a meter longer...... lol
It really all began when we were scheduled to do some backup maintenaince for one of the servers. Once it was done, all hell broke loose. Lights all turned off, darkness everywhere, emergency lights switched on, glowy orangy rays spreads across to the end of the room.
We grabbed our phone, called up the power company for assistance, called up everyone we could. Meanwhile, smoke penetrated walls, everywhere smoke. We couldn't breathe, it was like trying to breathe under water, all it did was to make you wanna grasp for more air yet you know it was impossible.
Escaping from the vicinity was not a solution either, we needed to find the source. It was the bloody power generator, it had gone haywired. Coughs were getting worse. Stamina deteriorating. I could almost see the vortex of reincarnation when help came at last.
First there was 1, and then 5, and then 30 and then....... it gets all boring after that. 6 hours. It took 6 hours for everything to settle down.
(For my overseas mates, it's kinda like a bunch of crispy fried noodles with thick egg sauce all over it, usually accompanied with vegies and fish/squid or both.)

So what really happened.......?
What i'm gonna say. Please keep it between you and me.
Firstly, we have 4 server rooms. The one we're in when it all happened is the 4th one. It happened at 12am sharp. The explosion... yes explosion, not just some power trip, happened to one of the Uninterruptible Power Supply, i was near it, but not near enough for it to hit me, i would have died. And...
I saw him, that apparition that i always see in the server room. It's always lurking in that corner of the room, no purposes, always giving the shifting eye. It's always hiding behind the last server rack, shy or i might call it suspicious. It seemed like it felt disturbed from our hoo haa when we were working on the backups.
All the while, i was the only one who can see him. Always been the case. But i think my colleague saw it too but he kept really quiet till now. I started seeing it on the first day of work, and when i started asking around if there was an accident there in the past, no one knew.
But they all agreed to one thing though, whenever they entered room 4, it feels abnormally cold. A few people who have gotten sick complained that it was from that room which gave them the chill. Or was it after i asked about that?
No one till now knows why it is there, but.. it's still there. I hate to enter room 4 but, i have to.
We all whisper to ourselves knowing it's not just a coincidence, but more likely, a disturbance of some unknown entity. Right now, after i came, 3 from my department have left the company.
I really hope it ain't my cause for revealing something they hate knowing, i shouldn't have told them but yet i thought i was able to digg something out of it.

Me : "......."
